Interactive 'Peely' Paintings

Viewers were prompted to 'Peel' away the layers of the painting. As layers were peeled away, new, hidden areas of the painting would be revealed.  The end result was out of my control and ended up containing the remnants of every stage of the painting, along with leftover pieces of tape.  This addresses issues around authorship and control, literallly exemplifies the process and memories of the piece, and allows for viewers to indulge in the taboo action of touching a painted surface in a gallery.
